This consultancy is a specialist in the drinks arena. It’s a growing team with some super clients. The work is dynamic, strategic and fascinating. The team works with some leading drinks groups on innovation and brand marketing initiatives, working where the drinks are, at home, online or in social environments, working with bartenders and consumers.
Account/Project Manager – the role
The agency is now on the lookout for a new Account/Project Manager to join the team. You don’t need to have specific experience in the drinks category, but you’ll have a passion for the industry. The role will sit within the Client Services team. Your role will be to build impactful partnerships with clients that add value to their businesses.
Day to day, you’ll be working across a few key consulting projects and/or consumer research projects as part of a small project team, which will include a strategist. The work will be stimulating and interesting, covering strategic thinking and insight work.
It is a hands-on job and being involved in several different projects at once means that effective project management and a detail-orientated approach will set you up for success. You’ll need to be someone who enjoys a busy environment, someone who is happy juggling. You’ll be chatting to clients in different parts of the world; you’ll be arranging research interviews with consumers.
Most of the work is from the studio, but there’ll sometimes be the opportunity to travel, which could be an exciting option.
Account/Project Manager – day to day
- Manage / support the directors on a range of client accounts day to day. Sometimes being the key contact.
- Managing client relationships and project logistics, including timelines, deadlines and communication – internally & externally
- Act as eyes and ears of the client
- Partner with the consultancy’s global network of consultants and researchers, briefing, setting up interview calls, problem solving, keeping on top of budgets
- Staying immersed in and on top of changing consumer behaviour and cultural trends
- Supporting client and business development, helping support pitching and writing proposals
Account/Project Manager – what you’ll need to have
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management for marketing or research
- A good appreciation for the world of consumer behaviour and cultural trends, and the opportunities they present for brands
- An ability to thrive in an independent working environment
- Great organisational skills
- Think on your feet, be someone with a pragmatic attitude. The team like to work smart, not work long hours
- A team player, willing to roll up sleeves and get stuck in
- Someone who loves process and has ideas about how to do things better
- Experience of drinks would be great but is not essential.
- You’ll need to be someone who loves socialising and going out to bars, festivals and more and soaks up atmosphere and new ideas and environments
- Someone who enjoys the strategic element and has a natural interest in consumer behaviour
